Top 10 spots for O.C. home price cuts report from www.theOChomesearch.com

Here are the markets with the most — and least – price reductions on homes for sale in Orange County as of October, according to Trulia.com.  Overall, 37% of homes on the market here had price cuts, compared to 32% as of September. Nationwide, 27% of homes show prices reduced as of this month, an all-time record.

Highlights:

  • Balboa Island came in with the most: 54% of homes on the market there show at least one price reduction.
  • Another Newport area ZIP — 92661– was among the lowest for the percentage of homes with cuts.
  • 3 of the 10 ZIPs with the lowest level of discounting were from Santa Ana!
  • 2 Irvine ZIPs — 92602 and 92612 – also were among the areas with the highest and lowest shares of shaved prices.
  • The very last for discounts? That’s 92612 — with just 18% of homes on the market showing price chops.
